AUIP International Mobility Scholarships for Researchers and Graduate Students

Promoted by the Ibero-American University Association for Graduate Studies (AUIP), this program aims to strengthen ties between partner institutions and foster high-level scientific development.With an offer of 120 annual scholarships, the program represents a premier opportunity for those seeking to internationalize their academic careers while mitigating travel costs.

Who Can Apply?

The call is comprehensive and covers various profiles within our academic community:Professors and Researchers from UFRN.Graduate Students (Master’s and Doctoral levels).Managers of graduate programs or international relations offices.

Benefits and Financial Support

The Magalhães Program focuses on facilitating international travel by providing financial support for:

• Transportation and Travel: Assistance covering international airfare.


• Living Expenses: Stipends for maintenance and accommodation in the host country.


• Health Insurance: Support or requirements for coverage to ensure the grantee's safety during the mobility period.


• Tuition Waivers: As part of a cooperation network, selected grantees are exempt from tuition and administrative fees at the host university

Objectives of the MobilityThe scholarships are intended for stays involving the development of joint research, doctoral internships (sanduíche), the strengthening of institutional cooperation networks, or the exchange of university management practices.

Application Calendar (Important Deadlines)

To ensure all interested parties have time to organize their documentation, the program is divided into two main application windows:

1st Deadline: Applications until November 30, 2025, for stays beginning between February and July 2026.

2nd Deadline: Applications until May 31, 2026, for stays beginning between August and December 2026.
