Brazil (Federative Republic of Brazil) is the largest country in South America and the fifth largest in the world by land area. It is located in the central-eastern part of South America, sharing borders with almost all South American countries except Chile and Ecuador. To the north, it borders Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana; to the northwest, Colombia; to the west, Peru and Bolivia; to the southwest, Paraguay and Argentina; and to the south, Uruguay. To the east, it is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean.

Consular Visas: For foreigners, visa requirements vary according to nationality. Many countries are exempt from visas for tourism and business stays of up to 90 days. For longer stays or for purposes of study, work, or residence, the appropriate visa must be requested from Brazilian consulates or embassies.
