Applications are now open for the GROW Program (Global Research Opportunities for the South), an initiative of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) aimed at strengthening science in the "Global South".
Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the program seeks to support researchers whose work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Support Modalities and Target Audience
GROW offers two main funding streams for the academic community:
The grants cover doctoral and postdoctoral students, as well as senior professors and researchers. The program especially encourages applications from women and researchers from underrepresented groups.

Deadlines and Guidelines
Applications must be submitted by April 30, 2026. It is important to note that the stay in Germany must be completed no later than January 31, 2027.
To assist candidates, DAAD Brazil will hold online support sessions (question and answer sessions) via Webex on April 7 and 14, at 5 PM.
