 As an incoming exchange student

International Incoming Mobility offers students from partner universities the opportunity to attend part of their undergraduate studies at UFRN. The duration of this mobility is one semester, which may be extended for an equal period of time, provided it is approved by the Coordination of UFRN’s Undergraduate Program.

For Incoming Mobility to be possible, UFRN must have an active bilateral cooperation agreement with the interested student's home institution. If this agreement is not yet in place, it is possible to establish one, based on the interest of the international student's home university. The interested student’s home institution must contact our Cooperation Agreements Department expressing its interest in signing such an agreement.

To contact our Cooperation Agreements Department, please contact:

As a Full-Time Student

Undergraduate Student

Admission via ENEM: ENEM (National High School Exam) was created by the Ministry of Education (MEC) to test the educational level of students who have completed high school in Brazil. The ENEM score is used in the selection process for public universities in Brazil, such as UFRN, through the Unified Selection System (SISU). Among the requirements to attend a Brazilian university, foreign students need to revalidate their high school diploma with the state education secretariats, but this document is only requested at the time of enrollment after acceptance. More information: http://enem.inep.gov.br/

Participation in bilateral programs: The most common way for international students to have the chance to study with us without needing to take the ENEM exam is through the PEC-G Program.

The PEC-G is administered by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and offers foreign students the opportunity to pursue a full undergraduate program at a Brazilian Higher Education Institution (HEI) free of charge.

Those eligible to apply for the selection process are nationals of countries with which Brazil maintains educational, cultural, or scientific-technological cooperation agreements, who do not have Brazilian nationality or Brazilian parents. Click here to access the program's official website and obtain detailed information about it, including the eligibility requirements, the call for applications, the number of places, who are allowed to participate, how to apply, the required documents, among other information.
